Albinism

As an infant, he was abandoned by his parents most likely because he was born with albinism. He miraculously survived the ordeal and was raised at the Maxfield Home orphanage, Eventide Home and the famous Alpha Boys School, a Catholic-run vocational residential school on South Camp Road in Kingston, Jamaica. He experienced a tormenting childhood for he was shunned from society, scorned by his peers, but was able to overcome all the negativity thrown at him due to his skin colour and embraced his uniqueness calling himself Yellowman. Turning a blind eye to stigma and put-downs uttered to him, the proudly “yellow man” went on to win Jamaica’s annual Tastee Talent contest in 1979 performing “Barnabus Killing”, and a year later, his music started hitting the airwaves all across the island.

Known as simply Bera, is a Georgian singer, rapper, songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur. Bera established his music career in both Georgia and the United States, and is additionally the founder of the Georgian record label and production studio Georgian Dream. Ivanishvili began experimenting with music as a child, and was classically trained. By age four, he could play piano, drums, and the violin. Being an albino doesnt stop you from helping people thus, Bera opened a charitable musical school where 20 talented children were selected after a video casting and received free lessons.

He has really bad eyesight to the point where he's legally blind; he even have an OKU (orang kurang upaya, people with disabilities) card for it. He realised he was different when he was 12. family and friends in school never treated him differently. One day, he looked in the mirror and was like “Why do I always get stares from strangers whenever I’m outside?” he looked at himself and realised he's white — like white white. And that’s when the whole idea struck him.

During his teenage years, there was a lot of rebellion and self-hatred. He didn’t want to be different. Being albino, he can’t be exposed to the sun — I can’t hang out with friends or go outside most of the time. It then came to a point where it became so toxic that he said to himself, “How long are you going to keep this up? How long are you gonna wallow in things that you can’t change?” It was then when he decided that it’s time he embrace it and just rock it.

Nicknamed the Siberian ‘Snow White’ because of her stunning pale hair and fair complexion, Nariyana lives in Yakutia, Siberia. Out of her whole family, she is the only one with blonde hair and the first albino from both sides of the family. But even though Nariyana has received multiple offers from modeling agencies, her mom doesn’t want her to pursue a modeling career just yet. Even though the camera loves her, Nariyana is just a regular kid who likes dancing and drawing in her free time!

Shaun Ross (born May 10, 1991) is an American model, actor and dancer best known for being the first male African-American model with albinism. At 16 he was represented by Djamee Models in New York City. He was also signed by AMCK Models London. Ross has appeared in music videos, including Katy Perry's "E.T.", Beyoncé's "Party" and "Pretty Hurts", Gold Fields' "Dark Again", Issues' "Coma", two music videos from Steve Aoki's extended play "4OKI" ("ILYSM” with Autoerotique and "Kids" with Morten), as well as Lana Del Rey's short film Tropico and Leona Lewis' "Fire Under My Feet".

Queen Jadis the White Witch, simply known as Jadis, is the main antagonist of The Chronicles of Narnia series by the late C.S. Lewis, appearing in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and The Magician's Nephew. She became an albino after she ate an apple from the Tree of Youth which giving her eternal life and youth. Jadis was the evil, sadistic, cruel and tyrannical self-proclaimed Witch Queen of Narnia, who cast an incredibly powerful spell over the entire land of Narnia so that it is always winter and never, ever, ever any other season, nor Christmas. This magic spell was so strong that it lasted for a full century. As a tremendously powerful sorceress, capable and trained of dark magic, Queen Jadis wielded a much fearful wand through which she could transform anyone who opposed her into ice and stone.

Albinos were a popular freak show attraction. A photo of Barnum's 1888 lineup definitely includes the Martin sisters Florence and Mary, but little else is known about them.
